AMY WINEHOUSE
Concept Project
Roles: Creative and Art Direction, Illustrator, Designer
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The goal of this project was to create a psychological portrait of Amy Winehouse that reflected the emotional weight she carried, moving away from her more media-driven image to focus on her inner world. The challenge was to visually translate that state of silent struggle, confusion, and vulnerability that marked many moments of her life, exploring how her mind and her shadows coexisted. The intention was to build an image that hinted at that emotional complexity without resorting to explicit elements, allowing the composition and atmosphere to speak for themselves.
THE CONCEPT
An Amy wrapped in shadow is barely visible, while her entire surroundings are covered by a tangle of threads, scribbles, and dark knots to which she seems resigned in her calm pose. Her gaze is directed toward the past, filled with reflection and melancholy.
