ABOUT THE PROJECT
The challenge was to create the cover featuring the main character of Samuel, a novel with touches of magical realism that invites us to enter a wild and absurd world, where magical places and moments are tinged with dark humor and sarcasm.
THE CONCEPT
I opted for a simple, direct image, with a reduced color palette and aimed at a young audience. In the image, we can see Samuel, the eccentric and haughty protagonist of the story, observing us. With a gesture of searching inside his coat, he leaves the viewer with a story to imagine: a moment of narrative tension that invites speculation as to whether we are facing a genius or a villain.
